"Thank you so much! The trip to 6 countries was magnificent. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you for the planning it took to put it all together. It has got to be a lot of work to get so much coordinated so perfectly". Sherry & Eddie, El Paso, TX

What is a "sober cruise" "sober vacation" or a "Gratitude Cruise®"?

A "sober cruise" or a "sober vacation" is a way of identifying a trip where as far as anyone can tell, all attendees have the main goal of staying sober while out in the real world on a vacation. There will be alcohol in stores we pass, restaurants we go to and ships we sail on, but if we are spiritually fit, the Big Book says we can go anywhere in the world. When we go together, we have a safety net like no other.

Gratitude Cruises® is the trademarked name of a "sober cruise" created by Snow P. to insure  a parallel universe operates anonymously with her professional travel suppliers and the word "sober" is never mentioned. Keynote Speakers, 12 Step Meetings, 24 Hour Fellowship Station, AlAnon meetings, Group Shore Excursions are available on 6-7 annual spectacular vacations all over the world.

Snow P. is Travel Professional & Concierge Host with a passion for service, world wide travel and fellowship. Her gratitude for  sobriety infuses every trip with a unique Joie de vivre. She treats everyone as a treasured family member. An artist, writer, photographer, architectural designer with 40 years of sobriety and a passion for living that is contagious.

Here is an excerpt from her travel diary after a recent fellowship cruise from Venice to the Greek Isles:

"There are two times that define a particular dimension of reality in my life: the first 35 years before I experienced Creme Brulee and the years that follow.  Explaining the last 10 days on island in Italy and Greece with a band of adventurous recovering alcoholics is like trying to explain the experience of having Creme Brulee.  The silky richness of it rolls around your mouth and brain like the siren's song that secluded the sailors into the glistening Aegean sea at dusk; there is a smooth yolk texture that slips under your tongue like the egg tempera wood covered in gold leaf by ancient artists in Byzantine paintings, and while the dessert is similar to a religious experience, it can't compare to whispering the Serenity Prayer with people who have been raised from the dead while inside St. Mark's Basilica in Venice where the saint himself is buried.

Creme Brulee, Venice and Santorini have a lot in common for me this week. The last day at sea I actually got to serve several sober people on their first cruise their very first Creme Brulee at a Jazz Brunch at Le Bistro Cafe.  It doesn't get any better than that!"
