This slender volume held God’s Light in it’s pages, cupped hope in it’s commas and joy in it’s healing stories.
I could feel every step of hope from the women who wrote it, women on fire from prostitution, drugs and violence who have found a safe place. Nothing works better than women helping other women and showing the way they have themselves traveled for escape. Magadelene has obviously done that with its two year residency program and only that kind of selfless love can continue to grow and manifest the kind of healing that money can’t buy. They do have products for sale which are made from the Thistle plant, a weed that God loves as much as a rose.
With the Grace of God, March 7 I celebrated 34 years of continuous sobriety. No detox, no treatment centers, no asylumns, only other women in recovery loving me and showing me the way.
I wish all the best love and blessings to all the women who have been lucky enough to stumble or been invited to partake of a second chance at Magdalene. It must truly be a manifestation of His love that saves us all.
